The Happening Game
Rules of the Happening Game[edit]
- if something has happened before, and it happens again, it has to happen the same way as last time.
- if something hasn't happened before, you can make it happen the way you like.
- when there's a disagreement, the judges decide what has and hasn't happened, how, and why.
- it is not possible to win the happening game.
Happenings of the Happening Game[edit]
- I make myself the only judge. rebeccatalk 17:39, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- judgement: this happened. rebeccatalk 17:39, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- I take a slice of cheese from the cheeseboard. Olive (talk) 21:11, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- I take a slice of cheese from the cheeseboard and a slice of burger from the burgerboard. I combine the two to form cheeseburger. I place the cheeseburger on Mornington Crescent rebeccatalk 21:14, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- I place rebecca on Morington Crescent Raven (talk) 01:03, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- I make myself the only judge. Raven (talk) 01:19, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- judgement: this didn't happen. when a role is vacant, anyone can fill that void. but now there's already a judge, so this wasn't the same way as before.
additionally, if anyone could become the only judge at any time, this would be fairly game-breaking, and i am interpreting against anything that breaks the game. rebeccatalk 09:30, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- I grant Rebecca and Raven a piece of bismuth each for their offerings to Mornington Crescent. Olive (talk) 09:31, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- As Olive, I create a dozen olives. Olive (talk) 09:35, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- I perform a new action: I recall rebecca from the role of judge. then, I make myself the only judge. additionally, I call "no-double-recallsies" Raven (talk) 09:50, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- I summon 256 Mucilaginous Spirits. Raven (talk) 09:57, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- as raven, I create a dozen ravens. Raven (talk) 10:06, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- I recall Raven from the role of judge, then I make myself judge, filling the void. Olive (talk) 10:19, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- judgement: this doesn't happen. I called "no-double-recallsies", so the role of judge cannot be recalled twice in a row. Raven (talk) 06:17, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
- there exists a disagreement between raven and olive. no party to a disagreement should be able to judge that disagreement; therefore raven is temporarily un-judged for the duration of this case. now the role of judge is empty so i appoint myself judge to fill the void.
judgement: raven's "no-double-recallsies" holds. olive is prevented from recalling her, and does not become judge.
with that resolved, raven is re-judged. the judges are now raven and rebecca. rebeccatalk 08:07, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
judgement: the temporary un-judging did not happen. considering that when judgement happened previously, rebecca was a party to the disagreement, this current judgement would be a happening that is happening in a different way than last time. additionally, the rules state that when there is a disagreement, the judges decide what happens. it makes no condition that the judge is not a party to the disagreement, and being that rebecca was not able to become judge, she has no right to make judgement. however, my previous judgement is still in effect. Raven (talk) 08:18, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
- judgement: the above judgement did not happen. Raven (talk) 09:05, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
